NEW to Give Time Together - DIY DAY

Do It Yourself Day logoFor anyone around the world, working remotely, or for any office not able to coordindate a project for a group — please consider our new option of Do It Yourself Day - Friday, April 25. And feel free to post your experience here on the blog!!!

We have heard feedback the past two years that there isn’t always time to plan an event, especially since we moved the dates this year, and because in some locations transportation between people’s homes, the office, and a charity is not easy.

We are encouraging individual volunteering, as we do all year round, so you can give to an organization that is meaningful to you personally - perhaps your child’s school/library, or a local charity you regularly work with on the weekends. And we hope you’ll still report in your hours to contribute to our total.

Time Reporting:

Employees who report their time in Primavera or Kronos:

  • The employee will record volunteer time that occurs during a normal work schedule as time worked in Kronos or Primavera.

- Primavera: Sabre Community Relations, PV code # CONV_06256

- Kronos: Co Sponsored Community Svc

  • Employees who do not report their time in Kronos or Primavera:

- Employees are expected to manage their time and workload in a responsible manner.

- Managers are expected to allow employees the opportunity to participate if immediate business needs will not be directly impacted.

San Antonio Selects its “Give Time Together” Event for 2008 - USA

It’s official,

This year, the San Antonio office of Travelocity will be “adopting a highway”. Great minds came together; Angela Singleton-Vasquez came up with the idea and Robert Kelley made it happen. Robert was instrumental in securing a section of Interstate 10 coming into San Antonio from the east as our “gnome away from home”. The volunteers from the SAT office will be playing in traffic (just kidding) on Saturday, April 26th as part of our Give Time Together campaign. We’ll be cleaning up our section of highway for all to see.

The City of San Antonio will be erecting a sign on the highway identifying the section as being cared for and sponsored by Travelocity. (I wonder if it will look like this?)

Highway sign

As part of our adoption program, we will maintain our section of highway four times a year for the next two years.

We’ll have pictures coming soon of all of the fun the SAT office will have making our part of town look great for everyone to see.
