Student "Smiling Sam"

Student "Smiling Sam"

The Central Dallas Ministry Work Paths program focuses on pre-employment education and training (primarily in the construction industry) for low-income individuals who may not have the skills to be self-sufficient in an occupation.  It also supports those who, for various reasons, are in a position of transition; sometimes from being homeless or even from serving some prison time. The program offers a 12-week course to low-income workers to get them ready to take the next steps toward a career so they can support their families.   Read more »

Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation: Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Volunteer Event on the Sabre Southlake Campus - USA

No time to go out and volunteer, we will bring it to you!

Volunteers came down to Main Street in Building A at the Sabre Southlake Campus for a variety of Do-It-Yourself Projects to help seriously ill children and their families. The volunteers crafted hand-made Mother’s Day and Father’s Day cards that will be sent to the parents of the children from the Starlight Starbright Foundation. Other volunteers made birthday and get well cards that will be sent to the children on their special day or when they have to go to the hospital for treatments. Several volunteers had an assembly line going and made over 500 goody bags stuffed with candy and toys that will be given to the children and their siblings at a Starlight Starbright Carnival that will be held in the area in the very near future.
